Today was a day I wont forget, I finally did Picnic Sarcastic from a sitter! 

3 years of failing and misery are now behind me! I must say a big thank you to Mr Varian and Ned who were there to give me a spot and the courage to use the heel hook technique.

So that has put an end to that chapter finally 

I cant seem to find the old Nemesis threads, so updates from everyone else would be interesting. So far in the last 12 months I've done:

Banana Finger Direct,
Banana Reverse,
Picnis Sarcastic SS.

Still to do:

Headbanger (St. Bees). Very close, will go down next visit.
Robs Wall (Eskdale). Only tried in baking heat.
Demon Wall Roof. Closer than ever on last visit.
Flying Arete. Need to grom some testicles to top out.
Dope on a Slope/Green Traverse. Not tried in years, pretty sure I can do it.
Gorilla Warfare. CLoser than ever last time
Trackside. Ditto above.

Me and Trev from Needle Sports are planning a Peak trip later this year, defo autumn time possibly October/Novemebr. I intend to dispatch a few off the list on the trip.

golt- on the grand scheme of things v8 is still pretty damned hard.... so as I said props
me I'm still stuck on V7/7a+ but hell still got time...
I'll be peakward end of October so if our paths cross we can swap falling off stories
I got Trackside last time I was up but still have Gorilla, the banannas and green trav on my list
plus mermaid, the nose and some stuff at the plantation.....

Cheers all, have returned from the pub after having several celebratory beers! Feels nice to know I'll wake up tomorrow knowing that I have actually DONE the problem that has kept me awake for years!!!!!

The funny thing is, it's an addiction.  You've done it once, you know you can do it.  So the next time you struggle it's even more annoting!!

Thats exactly what a mate said tonight. He said I've gotta do it every time now, I'm quite happy to have done it once!

I'm afraid Mrs Golt was feeding Golt Jnr, and missed getting the crowning moment on film. Shame, as she has hours of failed attempts on camera.

What did I tell you! The heel hook beta is the only true beta, effort chummy! 

PS: Does it still count as V8 if you systematically wear the holds into the exact shape of your fingers?

You were right G-man, I guess I owe you that! I do think I may have altered the actual problem for ever with trying it 86573 times. Only the holds up until the jug though, I had never touched it until yesterday!
