it comes to my mind the scene from "apocalypse now" when willard has to meet colonel kilgore: in the italian version he says something like "we should have met them 50 miles further. those guys just couldnt rest."

First Yorkshire, then Bristol. If climbing works are followng my trail across the country there will be one in Aberdeen next.

(yes I know I lived in Leeds not Sheffield, wihich is in west not south, but I'm talking broad brushstrokes)

Best of luck with the venture.

Great news for the South West.  Looks like they got their sums correct after all.

cool, I hope it's going to have some air conditioning  ::)

UCR can't do much in the way of air con as they're not allowed to modify the church as it's a listed building.

What's the place like in Sheffield?

Thanks for the links Obi  looks like its gonna be mega.

Be interesting to see who will be setting the quality problems down at UCR once this place opens especially if the others who are good setters follow Ron....

in one of the videos on the old site you can see somebody doing a one arm pull-up on a bidoigt. that place got to be good (massive understatment)! pretty sure nobody here can do it.

YES YES YES, GET IN!!!

Bristol is my home town, and i am taking a year off to go climbing after uni. This will be amazing for training for my many trips. As nice as UCR is, a climbing works in Bristol will be MEGA.

I noticed a rumour on ukc that the Bristol climbingworks was having problems getting planning permission. What's the deal?

If the council needs persuading, I'm sure there are lots of ukbers and many more ukcers that would sign a petition, or write letters/emails of support...
