Downloading an entire website.
December 22, 2006, 11:23:02 am
I want to download an entire website, content an all, for off line viewing. The size doesn't concern me, I doubt it will be massive. I used to have a program that could do this, but I can't remember what it's called or where I got it from. It was a pretty basic program though. If someone knows of a more advanced one in which you can specify what types of file to not download that would be useful too. ie. Download all content except .avi files or something.

Obviously I need to have done this by the end of the day... so prompt answers are welcome. Late ones are tolerated.

just what I'm looking for. Currently saving bleau.info. Hope that a link depth of 15 will cover absolutely everything. I'll let you know just how large the site is when it is finished. Hopefully by midnight!

this is how I got on. I saved bleau.info from the root to 15 links deep. This resulted in me having 800mb of bleau.info on my computer. I'm sure I could have delved deeper and got more but I haven't really got time now. Time is ticking. I need to get a couple of hours kip before heading for dover. Give it a go Jim, perhaps you could find some way of extracting long/lat for every crag in font and then create a POI. Oh yes. I would love you forever. Hold on, I already do.
