I can't believe this has made the internet
I live in the mighty West Kirby and have resided in the Wirral abode for most of my pithy existence. As etjoset says, the rock is way too soft to climb on and in no way warrants any attention. It's good if you're a young child clambering about the rounded features, but that's about it. (Trust me, it takes a hell of a lot for me to write an area off.)

), you have the Breck as etjoset also mentions. Better still, check out Pex Hill only a short drive away. You also have Frodsham not too far away.
Better than all of those and if you want real steely digits, get yourself to West Derby cuttings and download a copy of the retro topo that's linked to in the recent thread located
here. Take a nice big soft-bristled brush if you can.
If non of that floats your boat and you can afford up to an hour and a bits drive, drive over to the Orme conditions permitting.
