History of the grades?

What year(s) were the first 6a,6b,6c etc... boulder problems recorded? and what were they?, be interesting to know.

planetfear have an (incomplete) table of this, V grades instead of font but easy enough to translate

We've done the Font/ V-grades thing on here before.

No ,you misunderstood me for example Marie rose was the first 6A in fontainebleau but was it the first ever graded 6A,etc...

i think that gunna be a hard job, but it would be interesting to  know wot was the first recorded 8a in the world and is it still regarded as 8a?
