Bouldering near/in the Breacon Beacons
March 30, 2007, 10:41:08 am

Off to the Breacon Breacons for Easter weekend with the girlfriend and her family. Is there any decent bouldering (well, any bouldering/soloing really) worth looking out?

I think I'll need a break from looking round caves and bracing walks in the fresh air.

Only climb up to Font 7a (on a good day). Any info would be great. Cheers

Cheers Chris. Only really got into bouldering this winter (more of a trad climber) so don't know all these sites. The internet nazis at work won't let me look at the site  :wank: (sport related apparently) so I'll have a peep at home.

Thanks again.

I think dinas rock is just about in the brecon beacons national park boundaries. It can be dirty as it doesn't seem to be that poplar these days, so take a brush. The trench near ogmore is the best place to go bouldering in S.E Wales though, all of the sandstone bouldering being properly sh1t. Think you can get topos, directions for both the trench and dinas rock off the south wales bouldering site, given by the link above. Hope this helps.
