Indian Face Vs If Six Was Nine

Firstly I would like to say that this isnt a troll.

If Six Was Nine
F8b (I think) climbing
No Protection
Expected life expectancy on falling off - A few seconds

Indian Face
F7b+ Climbing
Lots of protection that is useless during the crux
Expected life expectancy on falling off - A few seconds (although John Redhead may beg to differ)

So seeing as the main difference is the French grade then why the hell are they both E9? Has Birkett got a fear of dishing out double figured E grades? When will someone repeat it and confirm/upgrade it?

You've mis-read the original description.  It says If Six Was Nine- E9 6c (Fab) but was a bit smudged on the a.  DB was saying what a good route it was.  It's F7b+/7c.
Hope that clears it up.

That makes a great deal more sense. Thanks for soothing my troubled mind.
