He sounds quite pleased to have climbed a lowly 8a+ doesnt he? Imagine what would happen if(when) he gets up an 8b?!

Indeed. Caminati is a monster.

We climbed at night a few times with mixed results. I would say that if  you can be bothered to wake up at 5am you will get better conditions in the morning than at night. When we went to UBIK it was about 11pm and it wasn't exactly cold, still about 14C (whereas it had been about 18-20C in the day). I think that if you were to graph the temperature throughout the day you would find that the percentage difference between midday and midnight is smaller than between 5am and midday. What I'm saying is it will be cooler in the morning. But then you face the problem of possible condensation/moisutre/dampness depending on what the weather/temperature has been like during the night. It was slightly cooler at night but not massively so. If you're in font and it's warm in the day then you might as well wait until the evening. Saying that, we witnessed local beasts crushing in the afternoon/early evening heat.

The light we used was one of these;

It is certainly light enough for most boulder problems and combined with a head torch you don't encounter any shadows. If you are going to use a lantern it's worth modifying a tripod to hold it at a decent height or to put it in a nearby tree.

AMAZING! Can I please book for a few months later in the year? Perhaps November, December, January, February, March.... I'm not joking. We'll come to some sort of arrangement for work!

Best of luck with the move!

ps.

yes there are few trees you can chop down, about 1000000 acres of them.

If all goes to plan maybe august bank holiday party time, shouldnt be to hot then either any 10 minute walk to the rocks
