What a lovely day!
February 04, 2007, 09:19:42 am
What a beautiful day yesterday... With the recent weather and work schedules and every'ting (I was on an oil rig that last sunny sunday t'oth week) I've not climbed outdoors since the back end of November so yesterday was a real treat.  It looks like today is going to be another belter so I'm off out again shortly and in the pub later for  :beer2:

Yeah it was great wasn't it. I got to Newstones and just enjoyed being outside on a lovey day and not getting battered by the wind.

Verily, twas a peach of a weekend.

Walking back from Baslow on Saturday, just as the sky turned red and the rocks turned black, I was reminded what evenings can do when they have a mind to.

And today just before sunset, cotton-thin clouds appeared over the valley, and danced round higgar tor for twenty minutes, before the dusk ushered them off.

It's reet good. Glad I live near such beautiful places.

Aye it was a good day, a little warm perhaps but not too bad.  I ended a very long period of injury with a marked and relieving return to form. I went home very happy.

If only i hadn't left my rope at the crag... ::)

Saturday was lovely. Clova development continues, more problems and more amazing discoveries. Pics to follow.

Set to return to winter tomorrow again, snow to sea level, also possibility of swell, almost light enough in evenings now for a short after work session.

For me too. A balmy 26 degrees. Cooler temps in the morn for Sat bouldering, project sent, followed by a trip to the beach to soothe the aching muscles in the sea. The only down side was having to get out of the water when waves of bluebottle jellyfish started bobbing in.  :(

Roasting. I pity the fool in the sun on either day. Shade was where it's at, Andi is on the money. You want to skive and get out to Caley tomorrow?? ;)

This is the only picture of Andi I could find:

I'm hoping for a cold dry day tomorrow for a trip to Brownstones.  A couple of things need sending.

Roasting. I pity the footballers in The Sun on either day.

Don't pity them too much Fiend.  What a lifestyle.  Kick a ball around in the morning before a session of golf/playstation in the afternoon.  And then after tea, off to a West London hotel to create a roasting scandal.

They don't get paid enough I tell you...

I think its superb,Im weak to most of the guys on here though, from what ive read its quite height dependant,Im 5 11 and had a different sequence to it compared to one of my mates who is quite a bit shorter,Taller people than me seem to breeze it though

is it still that same hair do that you had on down at boulderuk?

if so i imagine what you said to the hairdresser started something like:

"put a blindfold on..."
