What an impressively thorough dildo.

Don't worry Chrysler, you're going down into the shit at least as quick as the rest of us....when no-one can afford to run any cars....or have nothing to run them on....

Vote green, I guess, at least until the major parties start taking emmissions seriously. The green party is very strong in germany, I can see Uk going the same way.

vote green

Do they have comprehensive policies on anything else apart from environmental issues?

I'm sure they do, though I can't recite them. I don't see it matters much until they have a chance of getting in power, or they scare the major parties into coming up with summat decent.

Nice one.  More importantly did you not vote for him in '97?  When there was an election...

Why would I vote for a party that puts policies for most of the things that a government are supposed to look after as an afterthought?  If the green party had environmental issues covered, but can't show they could also cover a lot of other fundamental issues I want addressing then I'm not going to vote for them.  I would think they won't have much chance of getting into power or challenging until they have strong policies on other issues at the forefront as well as green issues.  Then again I'm struggling to find anyone to vote for at the minute.

If you only voted for a party that covered everything you'd never vote. If you vote green its not because you expect them to get in to power, its to send a message to the major parties that they are losing voters, not to the other party, but for a specific reason.

Ditto.
Before the Green Party ever got anywhere near getting into power two things would happen. A - Realizing they might become more than a protest vote they would probably move more toward the centre ground on some issues and B - The main parties would see that people were serious about global warming and act accordingly as a means of keeping office.

There's lots of messages I'd like to send to the other parties, I'll need quite a few more votes for the 'Don't sell tonnes of our gold before it triples in price', 'Stop fiddling CPI basket', 'Stop lax lending', and all the other issues that actually matter parties, last time I only got one.

It would be nice to have an idea what they were going to do with the big priorities though, even if it's not what I want.

I'd rather write a letter to my MP to send him a message than vote for a party that primarily only stands for one thing.
Maybe next time I will vote for the green party so Labour can realise what I want and put another £10 tax on flights to 'save the environment'.

The £10 tax increase was a pathetically minor and ineffective gesture. They aren't going to do better if the voters send the message that this is good enough.

I reckon they'll still stick to krill and plankton - i don't think they've developed a taste for diesel yet...

If there was any justice, then they'd start on the Japanese and icelandic nations. See how you like it, fuckers! Thar she blows!
