yr gonna struggle to get a MTb that doesnt disintergrate that will adequately cover all those disciplines.

The DH you see in all the media looks cool - but requires such a specialist bike that you'll not be aable to dirt jump or ride XC on it. If yr mate is a beginner get a hardtail, pref with dics brakes IMO, and get out over the moors - build experience and fitness with the odd big rocky descent to get the gravity hit in.

If yr mate then fancies true DH he'll need another bike.

the rocky mountain i've got for sale now is just the frame and NO forks, and i'm selling it for £450 ono, see below:

more pics will follow, but for now here's a pic of the frame from the RM website:

http://www.bikes.com/bikes/2004/switch/switch_rs.aspx

Frame size is a medium, I'm 5'11'' and its spot on.

There's also a cane creek headset, fire-eye stem and seatpost in the deal too.

Shock - vanilla rc

I'm looking for 450 pounds ono. Plus there's a genuine reason for sale.
