But seriously now, even small people are greedy and no doubt the effects of too much festive scran have blighted us all.

Looking at the Christmas spread, I knew right away that I'd end up a fat cunt if I took it on mano-a-dinner, the only way I would surivive was to prioritise the greed and go only for what I want rather than what I like per se, which happens to be cake.  Not UK cake, oh no: real tramp shit, but euro cake.  Real cake.

Yes, to conclude, cake is all I ate over xmas.

Ergo:  the swimming.  I think it's gotta be swimming above anything else for post-xmas weight loss.  Let's face it, running's a friggin' chore best left for fat cunts...

And another thing, irrespective of your weight I always spot, always; which is more than many who never make even an arbitrary effort.  Which gets right up my fucking nose!  :furious:

Fair point about always spotting Houdini, it wasn't meant as a specific dig at you (I mean, it's more my problem that I'm 4 stones heavier than you, than it is your fault for being 4 stones lighter than me).

Let's face it when you step up to spot some lard arse you're risking a lot more than most. I guess I should be extra grateful that you are prepared to spot all.

So please accept my apologies for slighting your good name.

Not on the front cover though, like yourself and Houdini, I'll wager.

No offense taken.  But it's true, I've spotted the fattest in North Wales.

But Pantontino, you're allowed to be heavy, you are pretty tall.  But what if you were, say, Slopers weight/height, you wouldn't be so happy spotting that would you?  It's gotta hurt!

Houdini, in a way I was alluding to a conversation I had with big Jez once (whom I'm guessing you're alluding to, too), whereby he explained that part of his reasoning for not getting more involved with the N Wales bouldering scene was because there are very few folk actually capable of spotting him. (Ug being the obvious exception to the rule)

Say NO to fat!

And one doesn't spot Jez, merely absorb his impact...

He's creating a UK GPS database of every bouldering crag and real ale pub and the shortest routes between them and Gorton. Bear in mind Jim is something of an obsessive - before he got into climbing he used to go kayaking every day. School? Rain? Snow and gales? Winter darkness? No matter. Jim would sling his boat over his shoulder and march through Chester to do battle with the mighty Dee. Every day.

Doubt I'd feel so confident if Houdini was stood beneath me, not that he would ever be found dead on the Ormes. ::)

Which would probably be the case if he was doing the spotting.

Spare a thought for my girlfriend who has gamely tried to spot me in the past. I am 6ft 2(ish) she is 5ft 3. The results are often messy for both of us.

It's nice that you've been so generous and given me an extra 1.5 inches Chris        Thankfully your arms are so long they can usually pick me off anyway!

I was 41 just over two weeks ago, 'am 5 11 and weigh 10st 6.. though I could do with losing a few of those..

I'm super psyched and feel stronger than I ever have.. I still seem to be improving but dont know wether I'm sadly deluded in that I'm quietly confident I'll get some ticks I once thought impossible.. I'm also climbing with some urgency these days as I've a lot of ground to make up, a lot of problems I want to do and a lot of places to visit before I'm too old...I totally regret giving up climbing for so long, so have quit full time-work and now work part-time so that I can climb as much as poss..ultimately I'm as happy as a pig in s**t.. the only thing I have noticed is I seem to pick up niggly injuries in tendons and joints far more frequently than I used too and recovery from a hard sesh takes longer too..
