aye-the boulder that now points up threatening to penetrate ones anus, used to be relatively harmless-i.e just a bit ankle snapping. This was an unacceptable risk to myself and jimbo so we tried to shift it. Unfortunately, like an iceberg, only 1/3 of the rock was visible and 2/3 of it buried in the ground. We didn't realise this untill we had actually moved the rock into its current "anal probe" position, from which further attempts to either remove the rock or return it to its origional positon proved fruitless...sorry.

First off I can't believe what a bunch of arse you boys were talking back in 04! First thing, Dense and Jim the LH version of Pogle's Wood whilst quite good (if you eliminate the huge jugs just off line) is not a patch on the standard RH sit start which is bloody amazing. Second thing, what drugs were you on Cofe when you looked at the diamond block left of Moyers and said it looked shit!?!? It's true to say that Mo's thing looks pure death, but Pat's thing up the left arete, The Gritstone Treaty is imaculate in the extreme. The landing is a touch slopey but fine with 2 or 3 good pads. The rock, the line and the moves are stunning all the way. Me and Somebody's Fool both did it today and thought it was gob smackingly good. We thought 7b, as opposed to the XS 6b+ given by the FA. The devil finds good lines for Idol Eyes to climb. Pat King, I salute thee . People go do!

Yeah, great bouldering.
Bin Ladens Cave was named as such purely because it is hard to find.
The Gritstone Treaty was named because of the tree in front of it, i did not want to remove this because lots of "gardening" was going on at the time at Gardoms, Also it is an absolute treat.
Nice one, shame these where missed out of the guide...

I would give Idol Eyes a karma point for The Gritstone Treaty if I had made enough posts.  However I can't, so I'll mention it here instead.  Outstanding problem.

Enough already about Bonjoy's ability to match t-shirts with base layers, what about the climbing?

Wasn't there a tree in front of it, errr, a few weeks ago when I was failing on Stormbringer??

I think picture two solves that mystery. As the landowner's permision wasn't sought, I didn't think it was a good idea to make a song and dance about it, but i'd explain the rational on a thread related to the general issue.

For what it's worth, and despite that I probably won't be trying the problem, absolutely no complaints from me. I think it's a good idea and I don't think Gardoms will miss a small birch sapling...
