retirement of moon
November 18, 2006, 07:39:33 pm
he's the undisputed king of grit and done everything thats needs to be done, or has he?
should the MAN hang up his chalk bag and boots and build the MOON clothing empire?
Maybe he and Jerry will rekindle the old days and race fast cars to and from the yorkshire coast..
Will they be competitive in the surf???
how about an MBE for climbing, if bonnington can get an award off her majesty ;)

I mean he's old, but he's not that old, I think he could definitely do something older  ;)

Ol'Benedict's got years to go...

Not sure that the poll question can be answered? Yes he should retire, or yes he should carry on?

Manolo's recently climbed 9a aged 48 if age is anything to go by.

Is that stupidly phrased question on purpose?

I would say Mr Moon answered that question very well himself yesterday....
or retire on top?

If I'd just done my hardest problem I wouldn't be thinking of retiring.

define retiring - if he's anything like the rest of us here then he'll be climbing for the rest of his life and will never 'retire', and lets face it, as long as you climb you're gonna be pushing yourself to do the hardest your body allows

this is a very silly topic.

Word. But aside from the actual subject in question, I am personally interested in hearing of the particular feats of achievement from older generations besides my own. Just not sure that this thread is conducive to exploring the topic, and indeed if it can be worded in a way that won't make UKB cool cats sneer at it. ;)
