Hurray!

Bubba for president. Shit, we don't have a president yet, do we?

Erm, Bubba for "owner of cadburys" (perhaps then I'll get a chocolate sponsorship.)

I'll be president as long as you keep Monica Lewinski off her knees

I quite like the "Karma Rating" thingy on this board

Good idea or bad?

I'll look into it - at the moment everyone on the board has "good karma" anyway I suppose.....there's loads of nice mods out there to add features to the board - it's just working out which ones would just clutter the place up and which ones would be genuinely useful.

All requests considered....

I've no links to any sites with the MyCal mod, I downloaded it last night and might have a fiddle over the weekend ( ) and I might test out that mod as well     hey, its hard being so witty.

learning Adobe Pagemaker

been playing around with that one myself lately too - actually quite easy to use and i can almost make things look professional(http://www.hongkongclimbing.com/downloads/tunglung.pdf - about 2.8mb so fast connection recommended)

still not thought of a suitably apt title for myself yet - best i could come up with was 'sketchy' which was what i was refered to by those i climbing with prior to departing for pastures new

It's a wicked package - about as intuitive as photoshop, ie - not at all, but once you've got the basics sussed, it's really nice. MS Publisher would probably be an easier learning curve.

That topo looks excellent Stu - shall I put you as sketchy then?

Are those screens set up for a fixed resolution cause on IE 6.0 I had trouble viewing the whole page and that was on a desktop of 1600x1200!

I prefer dreamweaver for web site stuff but then I tend to code most of the sites I work on in PHP. Although I've not done much with my current site as I am waiting for a net connection at home....

No, you just use the hand cursor to scroll it, or use the up/down pageup/down keys on your keyboard....

dreamweaver is great for site design, but pagemaker is good for dtp / creating pdfs, etc.

Fair enough, I've only dabbled with creating pdfs with php at runtime...

And yeah pagemaker is an excellant dtp package.

Its described in the online manual here looks to be one of the very cool features of the language for creating nice printer friendly docs.

Cheers - theres a java version here

Probably a good way to do printer friendly pages, though just using a different stylesheet will often suffice.

Aaaagggh! We must stop this geekery.

Talking of which - take the geek test

I scored 13.5% which is "geekish tendencies". Some people I work with got nearly 40% - scary.
