couldn't agree more beast. I tried about 6 or 7 times, then got a french spot from dobbin a few times, then once my triceps felt like they'd died i did it. failed to repeat it again though, so I'm asuming there must be some element of muscle fatigue involoved...

With muscle ups the secret is how you grip the rings. Roll your wrists over the ring so your knuckles are facing the ground as far as you can go, it's called the false grip. it is much easier then.

was using the false grip dubdom. i just can't/couldn't for the life of me get the movement :spank:
muscle-ups are the living end. was ok on all the other stuff (relatively, obviously). will have to start on rings again :whistle:

Fo Sho. I'm keen for the rings at the moment - Codfinger is hanging on in there and I need to rest it to get back to crimping, especially as the Lime has now been called.

Muscle ups;

Grab rings with false grip.
Pull up high, in fact to well below your collar bones.
Simultaneously stick your arse in the air and try and get you nipples below the rings (kinky yes?).
Press it out.

The move can be done with a kip, which involves less strength. It can be done slowly which involves more strength. The main sticking point is the transition from pull up to dip. I believe the muscles used to do a front lever are important in making the transition. So get involved with some front lever training.

My record is 10 muscle ups plus 10k added. ;D
