Ha, the earphones are my secret weapon on hard stuff; loud, heavy music seems to help with sealing the deal. I shall experiment with Lonsdales and Climb-X to potentiate this effect.

It was lucky i was on a swivel chair. Had to move around a lot to keep following the climber!

Not seen it on a phone before like that. Pretty cool to be able to just turn around an look at the view.

I haven't searched for it, but I was unaware of 360 video being used to show bouldering. I think it's got potential - especially with YouTube etc supporting it.

(It adds a whole new level of continuity for proof of ascent)

No not a South African connection but from my old boss at Raasay Outdoor Centre, it's a from a Doric phrase " Gee her Tambo Loon "{in reference to Tambourine and the Salvation Army}  roughly translates as "Give it your all, youth" or hit the Tambourine harder.

Kind of stuck with me after a visit to Font with a band of likeminded idiots, nothing quite like hearing that phrase drifting over the tree tops from a far away part of the Trois Pignons

Lucky enough (both work and my amazing Wife) to have a bit of a ‘work action’ trip to Font this March. Few raw clips from the holiday, Font really is a good place to take kids. Nature is a good teacher!

A lone problem from a lonely boulderer who spent quite a while rebuilding the patio beneath the finish, and quite a while sitting pondering whether it was justifiable and sensible to go for it.


Some exploring, sandbags, soft-touches, and super-frictional grit hidden in the woods. Useful for people who can barely hang the crux holds on T-Bone Wilson let alone pull on them.

Good to see a few of these on film - particularly the full Pinky traverse, which I've fallen off the end of more times than I care to remember! I think what you've called Rachael's Box is actually Rachael's Box Variation and what you've called Rachael's Box Eliminate is the original Rachael's Box (or at least that's how I did them back in the day). If you could go and get a film of Triangular Roof on the same block and show me how it's possible at 6C+ that would be much appreciated!

I did that 6c+ but it wasn't. It felt like a 7b and was just a really cool Dyno to the big pod.
