Yeah SM09 - I got permission to climb there after getting spotted, but it's a secluded quarry, and best to avoid regular visits. Obviously I made a stupid fucking video about it but figured that it was of very minor enough interest that no-one would be daft enough to go there.

Lil video I pulled together from a recent trip to Magic Wood. I have tried to stimulate a bit of a conversation in the description about how climbers can start looking after climbing areas, I was quite shocked at the state of Magic Wood, it felt more akin to going to a climbing wall rather than a magical forest in a beautiful location (like it was 10 or so years ago). Wecolme thoughts/opinions.

Nice vid and sadly very true about Magic Wood. Was back there this April for the first time in about 5 years and it seemed even worse than Albarracin for excessive chalk, litter, heavily eroded 'paths' - more like the entire hillside was scraped bare, and crazy busy (I guess because Magic Wood is such a compact area). Was straight back to Brione and Chironico the next day.
There's certainly more that people can do to be considerate and conscientious about nature/the outdoors but to some extent I wonder if it's just a bit inevitable at venues that are easy to access as climbing gets way more popular... maybe that's too defeatist an outlook though!
