Thanks for posting the vid, agree it's a lovely little summary of the place. Apparently, according to Carl, it's about as weather proof as weather proof gets so I've been saving it for one of those marginal days when everything else is suffering.

went here today, absolutely class, lovely sheltered spot, not a sign of seepage, and good quality esoteric limestone pulling. Gullivers travels was amazing and the sit too. found the shield and pinch hitter really hard.

Yeah really good throughout the low-mid grades, plenty of high slabs and lots of stuff you can just play around and improvise on, Lagers-style. But yeah it's a hoof isn't it. Only Glasgow's within day trip striking distance.

I did abseil and clean it first, a bit of lichen and flakiness, but didn't chalk nor pull on the holds.

Sorry to hear that, Fiend. It looked like you almost had a worthwhile experience there but have resigned yourself to piss taking by Dan and Dave. If only there had been some near-worthless RP placements you could have used. Then you could have tied a rope around your balls, clipped the wires, and had something approaching an authentic experience.

Who knows about a trad grade. If that's a 6b move that you're struggling with to get to the break then that'd be a sandbag and a half for padless E3 6b (assuming the landing isn't ultra bouncy grass).

Fucking carlisle slapper did it all already. Still worth a clean up and some attention tho. Would be pretty grim for the Font 6C (rather than 8C) climber to do it ground-up in the state I found it in.



6b move is at the start. Top is maybe 6a for me or 5b if you're tall. Landing is good, it's not that big, I'm quite small.

As far as I can see Fiend was operating within the approved guidelines Will. Although if his pad(s) was one of those massive bastards like a king size mattress then that’s obvs a different matter.....

Wasn't an FA but thought it was at the time. No info no grade no path to follow etc. Already stated in other thread that inspected / practised FAs a good compromise. Put your worm away.
