A good hour forced march followed by everyone moaning and leaving after an hr or so. It's the only time I've seen you abuse anything and I've never trusted Greg since. Clbimg was crap but looking back it was a good day

Think Panton and Katz were also there. Nige was there too - I remember him walking round to a problem and falling about 10ft even though he was already stood on the ground, that's how shit a venue it was. If the welsh boys have walked an hour up a mountain to a venue and they don't pull on you know its bad. I seem to remember Jordan with his irrepressable physche levels was the only one to pull on. The rest of us fucked off tout suite and drove an hour and a half round to the Bowderstone. Good times etc.

To be fair, the more recently developed problems look much better than the lowball scrappiness that was bigged up in the early topo. I've had the same disappointing experience and would never have returned but for a non-climbing friends camping trip which landed me in Wasdale. There really are some decent problems. Full credit to Greg for spotting the potential and persevering with development.
