I've been doing a bit of bouldering. I took my mate Phil to The County for the first time and we had fun. He insisted on me putting some funky hip-hop on the soundtrack so here we go:



Also had a spectacular day at Carrock, such good conditions there:



Unfortunately the camera didn't get the last problem which had a top-out a lot like that russian snowdering video

The hardest thing to bear about that Bowden vid wasn't Fiend's theme music, it was seeing those expensive Scarpa Boosters standing in the mud.

Okay this one has it all...

• A full 2 minutes of farting around before even getting to the crag.
• No driving to the crag, but "waking in the hostel" "coming out of the bog" and "drinking coffee" shots.
• Top-roping Gaia and then failing even to do the crux on lead.
• Lots of walking around Stanage.
• Dabs on the actual "successful" boulder ascents.
• Footage of Pseudonym that doesn't show any of the climbing.
• A full minute of farting around at the end (in a 6:15 minute video).

All beautifully shot in high quality too.

Had a good day at Tanygrisiau. Awesome place and generally overshadowed by the other areas in the mountains. "Tempest" is a real classic 7A.

There's a 7A eliminate dyno to the left of the Tempest.

To the right is the 5+ in the video, then a 6B+ finger crack and then the arete is a 6A solo, if you fell off you'd go for miles down the steep drop off...

It's a shame it's the only bit of rock like it there as it's amazing quality. As you can see in the video the rest of the problems are more like the rock in the mountains.
