Gutted if Vimeo are cracking down on this type of 'theft', they should take a leaf out of youtube's book and have an automatic link directing the viewer to a place they can buy the music used, then everyone's a winner.

I actually approached Ninjatunes for a quote on what it would cost to use one of their licensed tracks for a video a while back from which I would receive zero financial benefit, and they said admin. costs start at £200, then there's the fee depending on the seconds of music used, where it was shown, etc etc.
Ridiculous of course, but fine if you have a BBC budget I guess.
As you say, FMA are good, also searching for creative commons music brings up a few more sources. There is stuff out there, but you have to search through lots of chuff to get good music...
