Just out of interest how much more force goes through the point of contact when you do a front lever on a hold as opposed to just dead hanging?

In the static positon, the same shirley? weight is unchanged?

Yes for sure the weight is the same. That said, to me the overall effort in the fingers is a lot greater in the front lever, mostly because of the different position they assume.
While deadhanging, fingers, wrists and elbows are in line, vertically.
While doing a front lever, fingers are pointing up (almost) vertically and the rest of the arm stays diagonal to the fingers. So I think that tendons are more stretched due to the angle in the wrists.

What's with the woofing dog? Had the farmer given you permission but fido hadn't?

That was a reply to andyd's question about the woofing dog. I couldn't tell if he was being serious or sarcastic so I posted a link to the tune used.

Yeah yeah, my wife berates me all the time for this.  One of my many faults is not being when I'm being sarcastic (ref Andy's Fault Inventory, pg 6, paragraph, 4).
I like the track, I like the video, I found the dog irritating. For somebody who's views on music are so forthright, it amuses me that you like this  :jab:
Ps think I can dig out some old school KLF stuff with some mooing (if that's what you're into)

I've got it thanks. Machinedrum's a really good producer.

I've got it thanks. Machinedrum's a really good producer of music/animal noise fusion. Especially if you like music/animal noise fusion.

Ah yes, the delayed bark. One of my favourites.

All about the bit from 9:15:

Carefully chosen soundtrack to go with isolated and lonely mid-winter bouldering :).

Failed dismally on Phobos @ Glenmarksie due to heat, insects, and cowardice, and did the HVS next to it. Generally haven't found it (Strathconon, rather than Strathnairn) inspiring enough to delay the journey to Wester Ross / Ardmair / Caithness.

You using grey chalk there fiend?

What is the music? Sounds good. (I was expecting some thunderous Norwegian Black Metal).

Bad Sector - 12th April 1961 (from their Kosmodrom album).

Don't worry there will be thundering Norwegian Black Metal at some point :)

Creag Ghlas is a great crag, not sure how happy you would be on approach though

Aye already considered that and put it on the backburner, the hour track would be less of an issue than the 30 mins uphill at the end, you never know I might get there tho.
