Not to bring up old news but the whole carpenters thing is confusing. Firstly great effort to james the og beta i think warrants low end 8a, i graded it around 8a/+ when i was younger and hard to believe shorter. But after reclimbing it a few times finding some better foot positions revised the grade. A few friends of mine alot taller found a way of getting there feet really low on good feet. You have to be at least around 6ft give or take for it too work. The consensus for that method was 7c/+. James try not to bite on here. If your gunna start a fight dont pick a windy. day you will blow away haha

But it's not only my opinion Liam, that was the point of the exercise.
You have already said it's soft 8a not 8a+ and people who are 6' will find it 7c/7c+. So in essence me watching a vid and saying from my armchair it looks 7b+ wasn't too far out really

I was only pissing about. The reason i posted literally was to shed light on the problem as the not aloud to use certain feet is bollocks. It is in no way an eliminate and is a great problem. It really needs more attention no matter what grade it is.

On that front, surely using different beta doesn't get you a harder tick, unless you are at woodwell

that's amazing for many reasons, not only did they edit the worst footwork footage in where he was saying how great the other guys' footwork is, but it has infidele at 8a, using the 7b+ method 

i like the bit where he is describing the rythm of applying pressure through the feet, that is actually really useful and something that many people miss through poor shoe (or sizing of) selection

Effort pal. I had a go on Bara Brith yesterday, tried going left hand first like that. You miss out that minging razor that Danny used, fierce flash! Keen to go back to that when fingers feel a bit stronger. Corridors looks mega, it's had about 4 ascents in the last week. (Badgers and Love Pie are sit starts    )

Another moorland spot. Like a few of the East Lancs Moors crags it's actually in Yorkshire, but they are all on the same moor between Todmorden and Littleborough. Some nice problems here, high up above Withens Clough Reservoir.

Cheers. Yeah we watched Danny's vid after. Was never going to pull on that razor! Could have been 7C way we did it, but heavy people might feel differently. Corridors deserves the attention, lovely line just have to put up with the pain and do it swift. Yeah was a bit naughty on Badgers, did it that way as the arete was soaked when we were there. Had only seen the vid of Ned on Love Pie so will go back around on that.
