desmond?

Who else? It's a form of resistance training, he clings on to your back and suggests helpful moves. Works great and gets you really strong / improves technique. You have to watch out when doing dynos though, he tends to get a bit 'frisky' if you know what I mean

Just to prevent this turning into the hong-kong-stuey show

now that just ain't gonna happen! pics from last Sunday

me back on my project from last winter - have nailed all the moves now so just need the link (guess all that training over summer must have paid off)

a western climber in hk who's not nearly bald and doesn't look like Agent Smith (as you may have noticed, this is somewhat of a rarity.............)

Agent Smith   (who's leaving HK to move to Sydney this weekend - thus leaving me bouldering partnerless approx. 99% of the time   )

and finally........... the dog

and this weekend is another bank holiday (the third one in the last month! i love weird chinese holidays) - so expect more of the same soon.

I think I know where you mean now, is that b5 the one where it isn't such a good idea to bounce off when you land?

Tedious beta warning:

Tis indeed midget gem, but in depth research has led me to believe the proper name is "Little Gem."

Two methods:

1. French start, RH crimp, jump into layaway seam, lay one on for the top. 7b.

2. Proper start, pull on LH low sidepull/undercut, gaston the seam RH, tricky match, same crimpy pull for the top. 7b+

Bo, and properly so.

the send felt a distressingly easy V7 given the amount of time i've spent on it - used different beta for the last move than shown on the vid (matched hands on small crimp, foot into pocket on the roof and then a little slap left as opposed to an all out power throw....)

Well done Stu and never mind on the easier finish - if you hadn't found it no doubt somebody else would have done and downgraded the thing later!
