At this very minute, history is paying my wages too - I'm working on a script for a game based on Roman history. It's not something I expected I'd be doing a year ago, but it's fascinating stuff.
Wish I could go back Bill and Ted style, and introduce some of the legendary tacticians to Real Time Strategy. When you think about it, these are the most advanced simulations of history people have access to. Would be interesting to know how accurate they really are. Ironic that the more technology moves forward, the further you can take people back...
