How the hell are you supposed to do the top hard move? We saw no holds at all on it...

Paul, I'm on about the bit that Sharkey's on about...

Sharkey, thanks, I'll remember that for next time I'm up there. That flake looks wank, and it's quite unnerving...

Andi see if you can track down the old OTE (number?) with the Northumberland Highballs article in it. Pic of Sam W on the very move you describe.  He has an undercut pich with his right hand and left on bubbles mentioned previously, and looks to be pulling hard.

I happened across it on the bog yesterday, but can't remember number.

Didn't Sam W also fall off that move whilst they were doing that article?  Hopefully the photo's from a successful attempt!  Good looking microroute though - one I'm saving myself for a particularly psyched day (still undecided whether to go for the pure "trad" style solo, or my usual one mat & no spotters approach).

SA, cheers, I was wondering whether the photo I had a vague recollection of was indeed His Eminence. If I remember rightly it's the last OTE, which i don't have with me at uni.

I have very vague memories of flashing it some years ago, and the top-out being rather gripping. BTW did you try Captain Haddock, The Manta and Childs Play?

I happened across it on the bog yesterday,

I hope you wiped it off afterwards. Personally I've never looked at sam in that way.

but can't remember number.

Probably too much detail. If you were sitting down we can safely assume it was a #2.

 ;)
Sorry, but that really was on a plate for me.

All too obvious. If all you can think about is # 2 on a plate, I am deeply concerned now.

Your right youth, you do. BTW I'm free next week and may well head over to God's Own Grit if you fancy meeting up.
