Oddest thing you've ever eaten
September 23, 2006, 09:29:09 pm
On my first night in Egypt before leaving the city we had dinner from a take away. 2 people selected the "Jumbo Delivery" which they were only told was a camels knob after they had had a bite. I tried a bit and it was a bit salty and chewy for my taste (not that I have a taste in male appendages you understand). The treks big fat kid (every trek has one) took all the lettuce out of his "Jumbo Delivery" and just ate the cock even after somebody remarked "Just imagine, thats been in a camels pussy".

Whats the weirdest thing you ever ate?

I once slipped over at a party in the hall on a wooden floor that was soaked in beer. Obviously everyone was completely leathered. I ran up the hall, slipped and landed face first in a load of dog shit that went in my mouth. Probably will have swallowed particles unintentionally.

Well that beats mine fair and square. Quite sickening really that not only did you eat microscopic bits of it but that somebody knew they were having a party and didnt bother to clean up a steaming pile of dog shit.
Why did a dog shit IN the house in the first place.

Sadly, a house full of pissed idiots didn't seem to apply that very good piece of logic. It had been freshly trodden in from some newcomers. I washed my mouth out for hours needless to say.

I was born in Burundi, Central Africa and once a year we used to get a massive hatch of flying ants. These were rapidly de-winged and fried and, as I remember, delicious.

I also once had a fresh cow pat thrown in my face, some of which ended up in my mouth. It was unpleasant, but at least it's mainly just grass, unlike poor Mono's dog poo experience, unlucky la...

Mine's got to be Sea Slug. Had it in Mexico a couple of years back. Was so rubbery and tastless it should have said Pirelli on the sides....

Sea urchin, fresh off the rocks. The red bits inside are delicious, tender and sweet. Not much in it though.

Tried to eat a mopani worm (african grubs) which are regarded as a delicacy. Gag reflex kept kicking in before I could get it in my mouth.

That reminds me, I also once swallowed an open safety pin when I was six and passed it with no consequences!

Probably horse, or maybe donkey. Anyone who has eaten any kind of stew or sausage anything with possible mystery meat in France will have eaten one or the other.

Had sunday lunch with some Fijians on an island in the middle of no where. It consisted of a bowl of strange green bitter stuff(like spinach but frigging vile!)bits of crunchy stuff which on closer inspection was bones I think, noodles, cassava(imagine your floweriest spud, but with no taste and starnge choking texture) all bathed in a pungent fish sauce. As i tried to down it as quickly as possible, the old grandfather we were sitting with looked at me with his one good eye(the other was what can only be described as diseased!)and with a smile starting piling more onto my plate

Ive eaten teabags several times in caving club drunken dares when I was at uni. You had to eat one dry bag and one cold used bag to finish the challenge, and no drinks allowed. Both are awful. I also ate several raw eggs with shells on. Thats like eating gravel. My brother once ate 5 daffodils on the way home from the pub. He was sick in our garden when he got home. My friend Pob (Dave Roberts - some of you may know him) ate a slug for £10 a few months ago.

some ten years back, while deep into an alimentary disease, i used to eat 4 egg whites, raw, with mashed hi-protein cookies (like plasmon), all stirred (not shaken) each morning.

My ex-colleague Matt, as much as I like him had a grim story of an afternoon he spent with his mate eating, drinking and snorting  various things as a bet. Matt managed to drink his mate's sister's breast milk from out of the fridge. He said he found it somewhat 'chalky'. The worst of the lot was when he made his mate snort dog piss fresh on the floor from their new puppy. When it came to Matt's go, his mate was like "go on you do it!" Matt wouldn't do it and the two chaps fell out. I haven't spoken to Matt in a while.

Went down on this American confused-lesbian lass one time who had a bush denser and wider than the Black Forest.  Man, that was one odd minging minge...
