That really is amazing Lagers  :2thumbsup:

.. as is how much climbing is a feature of your dreams. Climbing dreams are ace - and help remind me of how much we must truly enjoy it.

Whymper's drawing "A Cretin of Aosta" (google it).
Great dream Rob and a really interesting google rabbit hole!

Yup.

That was the face my son made  where he realised the cookie was oat and raisin, not choc chip.

I think we should all chip in a contribution to Lager’s cheese fund.

Provided we get shares in the sale of the stories to Guillermo Del Toro for his next film

I love that the dream that entertained me has further entertained you lot.

I'll try and write up another one that I had a few years ago.

The bad ones are fucking awful. I'll keep them off here.

An odd, rather vivid dream last night.

I was at a climbing wall, carrying Graeme Alderson around on my back (piggyback style, legs under my arms). I couldn't see him and didn't recognise his voice at first. When he told me who it was, he started to sound like Graeme.
We kept getting in the way of people belaying and spotting. Eventually someone fell off a big traverse onto us and we fell into a pile of empty cardboard boxes.

odd

I met jwi at Ceuse last night (he was more stacked than I imagined :-*). I did then anger him by accidentally kicking a huge block off the top of the crag, though.

Me telling people off, that seems reasonable. But what were you doing at the top of the crag?

The resort has sadly closed! The pizza men was telling us over the summer. I gather there is some local tension over what to do with the land now.

Last night I went to try Careless Torque but couldn't have any attempts because my old Uni lecturer Nicky was traversing back and forth between NTBTA and the arete of Careless and kept saying 'one more lap before Greece'. She had no pads but was being belayed from above by Annalena Baerbock (the german foreign minister).

Lots of life stress and worrying about health this week seems to be translating into some really weird dreams.

Last night LiamHutch, Fiend and myself were discussing the benefits of carrying heavy plastic shopping bags for improving drag strength. I've never met either person but they were personified by bizarre hybrids of people I work with. Liam had a small mousey face but was incredibly stacked especially on the shoulders. Fiend was sometimes bald but sometimes not and was dressed in lederhosen. He kept breaking off the conversation to tell an anecdote that my friend Cerin told me at the start of Uni about how he wanted to stop smoking but would do it after Uni because it helped him concentrate when writing papers. Fiend was also convinced that shopping bag carrying was better in the early 2000's when we had the really thin plastic bags so that the contact surface was smaller and also trained the skin, similar to training on micros but better. Liam was very angry about this and cited a study from Lattice where they found that training with a big flat plastic bag handle had just as much transfer to climbing and caused less splits.

So... Ok?

I must confess Mischa that I wasn't well disposed to you in the old "headpointing mid-grade Peak grit & posey UKC profile pics with cute chicks" era, but in recent years I've definitely warmed a bit, and posts like that are quite endearing, especially the angry Lattice plan bit

Clearly Fiend is wrong, you'd want as much force transfer as possible to overload the position. I'm very angry about this.

Ok, that's enough internet for one day...
