Crag Etiquette
August 30, 2006, 02:55:26 pm
What's acceptable/expected and what's not...

To start things off:
  • Clean shoes are a must
  • Take all litter home with you. (if you carried it in, you can carry it out)
  • Leave the rock as you would hope to find it
  • Defecating in an area that the rain seldom reaches

Your thoughts please...

All good.  I'll take home some litter that I haven't brought with me.  Many a Camp chalk wrapper...

Fag ends FFS!! Nothing worse and no need for it.
Carry an old film canister and use as a mobile ashtray. Keeps smells in too, which is nice.

Once r-man took a bin bag with him to get rid of some of the crap at Healey Nab. It filled up very quickly so we gave up.

Also, a rather obvious one but one that sadly still needs to be pointed out, no chipping...

No swearing loudly if there are families about! Keep it clean folks!

Brush excess chalk off holds.

Only use a tiny smidgeon of chalk to make a dab, no fucking donkey lines.

Avoid any problems with eroding holds.
