The sheep is back!

Funny thing is that I'm consistent on V2's but find V3's really hard. Oh well, keep on trying.

I'm still seeing UKC/nothing. I think its something to do with linking to UKC thumbnails. All this week on UKC main page I've been seeing the same logo in the place of the radon photo thumbnails.

Ok, it's nothing so sinister as a hacker.

What's happened is that ukclimbing have updated their server files to reject any "hotlinking". So, if you're on their site, or if you type the address to a ukclimbing picture directly into the browser address bar, you will still see the picture as intended, but if you try to link to the pic, then you will see the UKC picture.

Lots of sites do this to stop people using up their bandwidth, etc. I don't tend to do it unless there's a specific problem, as I quite like people like b.com linking our pics in their posts. I did do it to stop some eedjit who was using one of our pics of about 150k as their avatar on a different forum, which is not good.

So, no more linking to ukclimbing pics I'm afraid......which is a shame, coz now we can't poke fun at some of the hideous cases of bumblydom that are seen on those pages.

Having said that, the sheep has re-appeared again, so my hotlinking theory may be wrong wrong wrong. In that case, it's summat up with their server ... or fuck knows otherwise.

No sheep today

Tis a cruel world in which we live. However I have only to endure a survey on Wednesday and then I will be able to buy my new house  :D

Although the bastard surveyor will probably give me a wanky valuation hence scuppering my plans, but then I'll just kill him    mwah-ha-ha....
