Slate routes below VS  :o.

Unfortunately true..
Seamstress and Zambezi are ok tho, and Reeves has bolted a sport 5+ near looning the tube.

Andy, didn't you do some new routes in the quarries? they seem to have slipped uder the radar.

The quarries were looking really cool on saturday, alive with lots of climbers. We were on the newly rebolted stuff on rail track slab.

Could almost get popular..

The old v. new bolt pic is a bit misleading, since the old Petzl bolts have the sheath in the rock, whilst new bolts only comprise of one piece.
A new slate guide, very cool. Another good clip-up is an old E3 6b opposite the Rainbow, seem to remember a vicious undercut pocket on it, can't remmeber the name and it is eatin me up, who can help? What is that given in new numbers? 6cish?
I'm rambling...

That's the same as the things I took out of Long Tor. Well dodgy, but to be fair the sheath bit which that screws into is a bit more substantial.

Fair comment, but remember that a bolt is only as strong as the weakest link (6mm bolt), goob bye!

Ta for the info. Will have to give Mentil Lentils a go. Would you say slate was more or less scary than grit? I hear that once you go above E1 on grit then the experience can get a bit "worrying".

Piffle.  Zambesi is excreable.  A genuine waste of calories and rubber.  It's easily the most worthless route in the quarries: that's a matter of fact. Blades of Green Tara, now there's a low grade route worth doing.
