Been having trouble getting a copy of tomtom that works with WM03, I have a spv c550.  Has any one got a working version?

I have an SPV c600 which runs WM5, and the version I have nearly works on that. Gets to the maps and then dies, if you fancy a gander drop me a PM or an emither and I will let you have a copyl

thanks but I dont think it will work.
For your map problem,
You need a file called      currentmap.dat

this needs to live in an file called      tomtom      in the       mydocuments     section of your phone (not storage card)

Hopefuly this should work

Hey dobbin, with all your "work testing" have you got any freebie phones? My c500 is dying so want a c600 or maybe m600. Hook a brother up...  :please:

Cheers for the beta James, I will give that a try. I dont think I have seen currentmap.dat in the maps directory - is it something that gets generated on a per phone basis? i.e. by a proper install?

Unc - the only c600 I got my hands on I actually had to buy myself! at work I'm steaming ahead with the WM5/Exchange sp2 proof of concept and its great but the devices we have had have been on loan and from Microdonkey! Unfortunately they both know what we have and want them back! soz.

I can find you a rubbish Ipaq!

james you little beauty. It completely worked. Found some instructions which are here :

6. On your desktop, launch Notepad.
7. Type & \Storage Card\XXXXXX_map\ (don't forget to add the final back slash and have a space between the "&" and the first backslash.
8. Save the file as CurrentMap.dat. Make sure it doesn't end up as CurrentMap.dat.txt!
9. Create a folder on your KJam \My Documents\TomTom.
10. Copy your newly created CurrentMap.dat file from your desktop into \My Documents\TomTom on your iPaq .
11. Create a folder on your KJam called \TomTom\TomTom. Copy your voice files into that folder.
Now soft- reset.

(replacing kjam for whatever device you had.

its pretty sweet.  A good add on is the speed camera database from "pocketgpsworld.com" then add some custom poi warnings and you are away, sat nav and speed cam warning, what more can you want.
