old,old very old magazine articles...help?
August 06, 2017, 11:23:26 am
I'm doing that middle aged thing whereby I'm trying to remember things that I have forgotten! I can't remember my first cat's name, but I do remember two old articles I would love to read again.

The first and easiest is from an 'On the Edge' a training article by Marius Morstead, I think it included Moffat and Moon and maybe a pic of Malcolm Smith in Norway, it talked about being happy being a vital ingredient of training/climbing hard.

The second is going way back, probably an old Mountain, probably from the 80's, it featured a guy with a headband, white trousers stating on top of a boulder, the article was about bouldering, It was American and I remember it being the first inspiring article I ever read solely about bouldering.

If anyone can help, maybe scan a page fro me I would be very grateful.

I definitely have the first somewhere at home in the UK. I'll be back in the country early next month is no-one else has come up with the goods by then.

Here you go:

Marius Morstad Gives it Straight, OTE 102, November 2000

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2gzvE5U0GEraG9nZTVkaFpJdlU

Let me know if you can download it ok. It's quite high res so a big file.

No idea about the second one.

The second article was maybe about Jim Holloway.

No probs. I did save them as jpg as well but have failed miserably trying to upload them from Google photos onto this forum.

The second article was maybe about Jim Holloway.

I'm sure I read it recently in a friend's static caravan in Aviemore, they had a whole pile of old mags including OTE 1. Not likely to be there any time soon though.
