In the late 80's/early 90's I used to play bass in an indie rock band before they kicked me out for unreasonable behaviour/musical differences (and then made a record: cunts).  No I won't tell you the name of that band...   But during my tenure I formed a drum & bass scum-rock duo with the drummer called Thin Lash

I'd post an mp3 if a) I could, & b) I wanted to hurt your head.  But I don't.

These days I play 6 string steel acoustic and a Weissenbourn lap-steel guitar.. mainly country/blues/bluegrass fingerpick style and open tuning slide guitar on the lap-steel.
Long time no speak FD  :devangel: I had never heard of a Weissborn until just now when I read the thread, and oddly was just talking to my good lady about taking up my Fender steel strung acoustic guitar and actually learning to play it, rather than fondling it for 6 years making wishes.... I found and it was something else...

Thanks Mate- there's the inspiration I needed, I'm off to book some lessons!

Great video Underground... thanks for the link.  It's great to see a lap-steel being played in a different style rather than in a Blues or Hawaiian way.

I've just picked up my guitar again after not playing over most of the Summer.

If you are thinking about chucking away the plectrum, you can't go wrong with some of the instructional DVD's from here http://guitarworkshopuk.com/new.htm..

I found this site really helpful http://guitarworkshopuk.com/new.htm

I do play the drums !! im gettin pretty good at it aswell although i hate it when a good drummer comes along and shows off hehe

Good drummer? you meant a person with a sense of timing and the skill to read music?

I'm the odd one out; a violinist (and I wrote midi files from scratch but thats too far).
