A similar thread to Phonebook Ripping (not trying to steal your thunder Uncle, Phonebook Ripping is gathering speed!). Has anyone other than me tried squeezing bathroom scales? I've managed 105kgs. That's with hands on opposite sides of the scales. Has anyone managed to squeeze harder and wish to share a photo of their acheivement?

can't do it on ours cos it flexes in the middle. did 110kg on the flash pinching on either side

Effort Jim  :D  Mine was a casual passing squeeze, I wasn't thinking about the flash and now I've ruined it!    I can only hope to improve and redpoint at your flash level......respect.

Are you talking about the thickness of your scales Bonjoy or how wide it is for you plates of meat to stand on? Thickness would have an effect I think, if you have one of those fancy glass ones or something.....I've got a cheap £2.95 mechanical set from Argos.

by pinching our (1970 vinyl covered brown mechanical) i got to about 80keys on the flash then the bottom plate started to bend so i bailed. don't wanna break a family heirloom.

Mine's an awkward bugger  :wink: , so I only managed 50 kg  

It does look decidedly delicate when the glass plate started to flex considerably...

The scales are taking a battering but after warming up I managed a redpoint of 115kg!

HaHa I just ried it out of curiosity and got got 127!!!!!!!!! then tried it again to see if i could beat it and smashed the scales lol. damn scales cut my thumb just hope me mother dont try and look for em before I buy another one :wink:
