im fairly new to climbing, so still learning. i was told when i started to primerily use your middle finger and wedding ring finger especially when on smaller grabs, because apparently these are the strngest, but i have noticed that a lot of the pro's use their index finger. am i doing it wrong or is it a personal preference?

think its to do with which 2 fingers are closest in length.

I agree with Gruff, although I think it can be a bit of personal preference too and certain holds may just 'feel' better and more secure with different finger combinations!
