you are right about the hostage thing though. last time i was in south america i got talked into negotiating the release of a bus load of european students from ELN nationalists. it started off quite well, but then manuel (their guy on the phone) said he was under orders to shot them at will. i tried to persuade him out of it, but he was quite set on the idea.  in the end i said it was up to him, but could he please leave the tasty swedish twins and their roommate virginie. quite a satisfactory outcome as far as i was concerned...

these days i only tend to do essex girls by the dozen. considering that i want them for a long and dangerous ocean voyage (on which they might trip over their stilettos or get bacardi poisoning or injure themselves in some other nasty way) i feel that 6 would be insufficient.
