Keenus bags another classic
December 10, 2005, 07:09:05 pm
James Pearson has added a sit start to Hats for Clowns at eatswood rocks to  turn a jump start 7b into a very classy 7c+. Keenus had managed it from a standing start earlier in the week at (hard 7c) and went back today and added the sitter. All caught on video too, oh yes!

Name so far looks like being either Westwood, or Vivian Blackwood.

Didn't get any good pics of the hard bit, as I was filming. But here's a shot of James on the 'easy' top bit. The LH side of the crack was wet so a first joint mono had to be used instead for the last slap.

This turns avi files into quicktime files. You need a mac though.

http://kozlowski.umesci.maine.edu/clip_creator/index.html

Anyone know how I can turn them into DV files so I can fiddle with them in imovie?

I know Quicktime Pro does it, but is there any freeware out there that will?

If you have iMovie HD (5.0) you can drag AVI's directly into it. Not sure about older versions, but it will probably still work.

Funny that, considering it 1/40th the size.

I recommend, 'view', 'double size' or moving you head closer to the screen.

can't you just open .avi in quicktime then save them as quicktime format. I'm sure you can

think there is a thing called 'nemo'(?), which can deal with most fillum formats and convert them to such other fromats on a PC (as opposed to a glorious shiny Mac), sure you could get a cracked limewire download

great looking problem aswell james :-)

After lots of faffing and fiddling with all sorts of things, someone on ukc recommended an excellent mac utility that exports to DV as well as a multitude of other formats. Just the ticket:

Sorry Dave, too slow, limited to 25 downloads. Must have been all the dial-up boys getting excited at something to download. I'll put it up again tomorrow. Do you want me to email it to you? If so PM me your email.

I think the best thing to do with such files would be to create .torrents - that way everyone shares the bandwidth.

Nice one Dave.

I've never run a tracker before but I don't think it's hard - any future videos that ukb produces will be distributed via bittorrent - it just makes sense.

Are you planning on have a video page again when you finish the new site? Before I got sucked into the forums, the video page was the reason I kept visiting ukb. That and the new problems databse.
