I can imagine this being all over everyone's social media feed by the end of the week but just in case it isn't.

This resonates with me quite a lot in my current circumstance, I don't know whether to laugh, cry, or throw my laptop throw the window.

I'm sure many people will have watched this already, however with all this current talk of "protecting British interests" and "special trading relationships", I thought it was worth posting for those who haven't seen it:

There's nothing I fear more about Brexit than being governed by our own laws.

A lovely 20 minutes of new school skiing. One of those videos that has some nice music, different camera angles and a vibe that makes it more interesting than the average ski movies that are just a collection of tricks.

Very cool. On that subject I assume everyone has seen this, all a bit bonkers, and still astonishing after numerous watches.

Nice.  Only recently found that guy's youtube channel, some amazing stuff.  Whilst on with longboarding vids, is the most mindblowing I've seen (the last run from about 37:00 in particular).

F'ing brilliant. Just glorious. Thanks Steve.

I'm saving the last ride.

Some amazing wipe outs. Also some pretty good looking crags getting the fly past in these vids.

I just love it.

One confession. I wimped out of a drop in to a bowl when I was about 9, and I've never got back on that donkey, which is remarkably lame.

Top of my "project list"!

PS - to any Mods out there, can I propose a separate forum category entitled simply "The Ride"? Would cover so many other child boards.

I raised that a while ago, call it "boardsports" but got the thumbs down.

I suppose there is the chance that the "The Ride" section would be a bit like a separate site on it's own, but we do have threads already for Snowboarding, Mountain biking, Motorbikes, Surfing.. Cars (cars fucking cars ;))

Seems really awkward not putting it all together. I'd like it to be easier to share similar things. I've never surfed, but loads of people here will have some amazing things to post.

Climbing is just like any of these things, it's just that because we're mostly wimps, we have to freeze the wave to get it right  ;D

Come on mods  :2thumbsup:

Iíve seen these videos before and Iím pretty sceptical about them. I mean the guy makes ocarinas (seems thatís why heís making viral-ready videos, to promote his business) so he has the knowledge of how to create tuned wind instruments but I just think that non-dried-out melons etc. wouldnít be able to create blown sounds like that, being wet and pulpy inside and too bendy to resonate. The pitch of the sound heís apparently getting from the watermelon in particular just seems off with the size of it and the sounds of him cutting up the fruit sound so much like foley recorded right next to a mic to me as well.

Iíve never tried to make instruments from fruit though so maybe Iím wrong! Itís still a pretty skilfully made video even if Iím right.

I'm pretty convinced. If this video is anything to go by, you can do pretty amazing things with fruits & veg.

Fun. I'm guessing a speedwing would be faster? Much lighter, quicker changeover, better glide ratio and not much slower in flight? Plus I would have thought the last thing you want for a BASE exit is to be in a rush...

I assume this is why they sent Kilian up the more technical route rather than the ridge, to slow him down a bit, but that guy was definitely not unfit!

There was a similar mountain biker vs. fell runner one on the BBC a few months back.

Love the vibe in the video. Friends in the woods having fun, lots of banter and riding fast. The riding isn't on the level of some 'pro' videos however this doesn't distract from the entertainment value of the segment for me. Just a shame that this local spot has now been destroyed by the council.
