as someone who was hyde park/headingley born and bred.i find it somewhat shocking how the area has gone down the nick since i left town.
i'd thought it be the other way round.

I think the main problem in HP is the pecentage student population has reached a ridiculous level, so that houses lay empty for months, either because students are away, or landlords can't find tennants.

Headingley is nice though on the whole, and probably has some of the highest property prices in the north! Headingley has managed to maintain a more permanent population overall, with an influx of young professional house buyers over the last few years, rather than just students.

Those flats are well nice! Definatly the best ones I've seen. They are on a side road between hyde park + headingly. Walking distance from uni + not too ghetto (I lived on that road last year and only got shot at once - some 10 year olds with an air rifle!)
