How do you start this little byeut?
Is it:
a) a big air jump to the first hand hold?
b) stylish mantle onto the first foothold?
c) something you find at the beach beginning with sand....
Cheers for any help.

i was getting on it be putting right foot on starting big foothold, then doing a weird momentum no-handed forward push and stand up onto it in one movement. its piss easy to get on once you've got round the psychological barrier of doing the move, but then it can also bust your thigh out really quick. some people also do that same move but with right hand undercutting just above the foot - think that works for some, depending on leg:arm length ratio etc.
but alas gettin established on the slab is very much the easy bit of the problem!

Yeah, I undercutted foothold and put right foot in it too, then jump into a stood up position letting go of undercut as you do. Takes precise movement to excecute, but ok once you have the knack. The bit above is desperate.

Cheers. Was very curious, almost curious enough to get a shunt set up and headpoint it.... but luckily not that curious. Pheww!

Doomsayers one and all on here.
The bit above is not that bad (soft for the grade?), and the first bit is as above.

I get on by a 2 step jump. you can also get on by jumping off the boulder facing it. The slab itself is s'possed to be either easy or hard depending on which day of the week it is? People have said its easy for the grade then come back and been unable to do it and said its nails. Last time I was there even Johnny footwork couldn't do it

Aye, you just couldn't weight those footholds when I tried it, nobody could. However carefully you tried to step up on them they just slid off. I can imagine it being a whole different prospect in crisp winter conditions.
