Speeding
May 25, 2005, 09:02:05 am
Last night on me way to the wall I think I might have got snappped by a mobile unit, two coppers on bikes. Its just down the road from where I work. I have never noticed any signs to indicate there may be camera's operating in the area. Does this make it an illegal speed trap or can they get round it by being a mobile unit?

you only need to be warned about a fixed camera.

I think two bike cops would most likely have pulled you over if they busted you - I reckon you'll be ok.

Bastard, still haven't got a letter yet.
Last time I got one it was through in two days.
Still time though, we'll see what happens.

And no I haven't learnt my lesson, I just pay more attention to what's at the side of the road.

think if you're OK if you haven't received anthing after 14 days or something.

got busted for 36mph in a 30 on way out to Peak a while back, and in my old 1 litre Citroen AX!

no they have at least a month. i got one after 28 days but that was a couple of years ago. now they probably give you a day at advanced driving school thrashing around in impreza's to make you realise the error of your ways

dense the NIp has to be served within 14 days unless you're notified at the time (it can be extended if the id of the driver couldn't be found within 14 days etc).

took them almost a month to send mine through, was a long time ago tho, will have changed cos it's easier to catch people speeding than to arrest young thugs who throw bricks n stuf at ambulances n fire engines
