New Boulderer

Hi all. I'm pretty new to the sport, but loving what I've done so far!
So much so that I'm turning the granite wall in my garden into a training ground, but the wall is flat.
I was going to buy some holds to drill into the granite, but they're all quite expensive.
Before buying any, I thought I would ask actual climbers for advice.

Any recommendations on what brand/type to get, and any tips on how best to put them up/arrange them would be much appreciated.

Cheers

how flat is this wall??

would leave for future projects when you get a bit better?? shame to ruin a good piece of rock.

holds-wise: cant go wrong with metolious.

I would say Moon holds over Metolius as they keep there friction better also Holdz are very good.

I would also consider spending most of your money on a decent drill bit...granite is hard!!!

Maybe you could attach a woodie to the wall. Would be a lot easier to drill lots of holes in, plus you could also give it a bit of an angle which is much better for training. And you wouldn't ruin your granite as much either.

If you're after a couple of big slopers, I've got a couple of these and I really like them:

beautiful beacon slopers

They come with an M10 bolt free, which is handy.

And if you are planning to drill directly into the wall, this might be useful:
