new even sicker ultra send

Last week James 'Bog' Hogg climbed one of stanage's last great problems; the diamond face on the boulder slightly downhill from and between back in the YMCA and help the young.

Name: all 14 8000 metre peaks
Grade: Font 6c

That is unless its already been climbed by any number of stanage wads...jonny footwork...

The problem was quickly repeated and confirmed by dave 'scouse' norton.

I can confirm the grade, if not the quality. Worth also noting mine was the long awaited first static ascent.

Well it's definately the first claimed ascent- it was filthy dirty and is a very good problem, therefore appeared to all the world like it hadn't been climbed. So if someone wants to come and "retro-claim" it so be it, but I sure wouldn't want to rub Bogg up the wrong way(or any way), and I wouldn't believe them anyway.
A description of the problem is...
On the aformentioned Diamond face:
pull on LH flatty in diagonal break, RH in high undercut.
Get feet up into break, LH to intermediate crimp/sidepull, sort out feet, pop/lank(DAVE) to jug LH. Top out.

it was dirty, but then i remember timmy mallet saying "looks like this walls been brushed".

not a bad problem though i suppose, certainly good enough to be in yorkshire if not the peak.

Aye I remember me saying that too- but none of the holds that we actually used were brushed. Maybe someone had brushed it but didn't have the vision to climb it- or brush the right holds.

MO FO
It'd be a much better climbing wardrobe if it wasn't on Castors.
