Imagine  Miguel Indurain, Bernard Hinault, Lance Armstrong, Eddie Merkxx and Jans Ullrick are cycling around london and they get to a speed bump and they're like 'what the fuck is that?' and it takes them twelve attempts just to ride over it without having to unclip their feet and paddle - that is a very bad analogy for what happened at Curbage on Saturday.

End of the affair probably nearly fell over when it saw them walking towards them, but the rest of Curbage just menaced on, impassive. It was right. Curbar hit them full in the face with Usurper, a full five grades below what these guys usually climb. Cue some serious airtime followed by the punchline A RESCUE from Right eliminate, first climbed in 1950 by someone wearing spectacular trousers.

funnily enough most of these were also there, but wisely they stuck to the boulders. In fact there was even a THIRD team of wads at the crag that day, who also didn't tie on. At one point two groups even crossed paths, and spent five minutes just standing admiring each other's team....

I shouldn't worry FD, it's bog standard E4. Reach high off undercut above break into LH crack, stick left foot in brake, right foot on smear left of main crack then layback to glory. The hideous flared offhand crack is only used for gear. Right Eliminate is even easier.
