What with Ru's guide sorting out the grades for the rest of the peak, was wondering what the consensus grades are for the problems at cragx? Ru's graded list he had on the ropeless.de site before he published the guide had a few on:
Cherokee lane 7b+
Seans Start 7c
The pinch 7c
Moffatrocity 7c
The hulk 7c+
The Thing 7c+
Superwoman 8a - not sure what this problem is
The Thing sitter 8a+
Superman 8a+
Superman sitter 8b
But a few of the grades on that list dropped when the guide came out. What do you reckon?

would have thought jericho road 7a/+.
not done moffattrocity but came close a couple of years back. its about as hard as powerband but without a sick hard move at the end, so 7b+ish probably is fair.

you are probably right on JR - i'll give you 7a+. Sit down start is good, just down and left with good undercut move. maybe add half a grade? then again maybe not.

I'd go for 7b+ for Moffatrocity. &a+ for Jez Road, 7b for Cherokee.
The pinch has traditionally been considered 7c+ using the approved sequence ie not using certain holds on moves into JR, maybe it is only 7c with all holds.
What's the problem called which starts sitting to the left of JR and goes into this eliminating the big break? Good prob (as eliminates go) 7b+/7c i'd say.

that sounds like the sit start i was talking about - i'd never thought of doing it without the HUGE break. shows how original i am! That sounds like a summer evening spent in' dale..

Went for a look this week, the crag is still seeping a bit but most of the problems are dry 'cept for the pinch and cherokee. Had read on this forum about the sidepull coming off superman but hadn't seen it til now, its gonna make quite a bit of difference to the hulk. Guess it will still be 7c+ but that crimps gonna hurt - ow!! (thats one of them guesses where you don't do the move... or try the move... or put your rock shoes on)
