Thirded on JJ - it's OK music at best but it is the fact that he goes on and on ad infintum about environmental issues that seems to be his selling point to those who deify him so much - the music should come first people and don't forget it.

Doesn't help that it seems to be relatively easy to pick up a guitar and play along either for those with a minimum of talent which is probably another reason why I hate him so much after having to listen to his interminably crap music made worse by talentless fools.

If you go through the list (nearly) all of the bands despised have produced something that you could enjoy and even the best of underrated artists normally produce some utter shit too. People get entrenched into liking or disliking styles because they are marketed as having something to do with lifestyle or whatnot. But its just tunes. Pick and choose.
