kc:
An interesting news item from Channel 4 about pharmaceuticals entering the rivers in the National Parks. The highest concentrations were found in the stream that runs down Tideswell Dale into the Wye.

Heard this reported on the radio too.
Tideswell has some sort of lab opposite the play park, doesn't it? Certainly people shuffling about in lab coats. Might be putting 2 and 2 together and getting a tin hat but that's a bit of a coincidence is it not?

Less conspiratorially, there looks to be a large sewage treatment works near the start of the brook, and it doesn’t look like the brook is particularly large. River Trust map shows that the CSO overflows regularly https://theriverstrust.org/sewage-map
