The account still works for me: https://www.instagram.com/c4hp/

it could be that you blocked him at some point, you'll have to check your blocked accounts list. Otherwise, you should probably have been nicer to them in the past ;)

I have never blocked anyone and I don't remember ever posting anything on his IG. I don't actually use IG that much, so flicked through my "history" and don't see anything (not sure if IG deletes interactions with blocked people?).

All very odd....

I've scanned down Tyler Nelson's IG and can't find his version of an ergo edge. Can anyone link it please?

Interested to see what Lattice supposedly copied.

Firstly it's a great thread title. Secondly it makes me glad I'm not "on the 'gram".

Thirdly I can see this sort of thing becoming extremely popular with first year climbers looking to break into 6B or smash out F7a (as long as it doesn't clash with their personalised, periodised training regime, of course).

That's his pisstake of the lattice edge, not whatever he sells/uses. Not actually sure what his real edge looks like, but I assume it's something like this

Ah okay. The whole thing seems totally crazy to me.

I've used Simon's edges. I can't comment on the effectiveness of the concept but I found the spacing of the steps meant my fingers were uncomfortably spread apart, small hands I guess. If Lattice have found away of recreating the effect but without the unlevel edges then that is quite innovative.

More searching than I'd care to admit turned up this. Which is Tyler's edge. It seems you 3D print it. He's not selling it. Nothing innovative there.

His reaction seems very disproportionate, perhaps worryingly so. Hopefully he has someone to talk to to keep him grounded on this.

So, first the caveat that it’s still just pulling on edges, it’s not going to be radically different to a campus rung. With that in mind…

Some context: the reason I bought one is that I have a bit of an issue with my finger lengths when training a half crimp. For me, my pinky is usually straight, and the edge sits nicely on the crease at the end of the first joint. This can support a lot of weight, but it’s unpredictable. I could just use a front 3 of course but that can get tweaky. I was hoping the MXEdge (TM) would fix that.

However I’ve tried the unlevel edges and for me they do share the load out more across all the fingers. I’ve gone back and forth about if this is a good thing. I can see arguments for and against.

However, where I REALLY like the lattice edge is for awkward grips - back 3, full crimp. Full crimps in particular feel much more natural and comfy than on a flat edge. I’d be happier training these grips on this board than a standard fingerboard.

The block itself is a nice design. Surprisingly it works as a pinch quite well too, although they are obviously shallow pinches. It’s stable and doesn’t tilt. The mono is nicely done and doesn’t get in the way.

What’s not as good? Well it costs a lot of money. Also there’s nothing to stop you using a normal edge and placing your fingers on it the same way! This would be less repeatable, but a lot cheaper.

Which one Stu? there are two sizes MXL and MXS, its not obvious which one I/ anyone would need.

Something about tyler neilson, I can't take him seriously. A waft of snake oil tinged with desperation. He's just not the type of person I would take advice from.

I am sure this has been posted before but I think probably captures the scene in [insert training brand name here] whilst brainstorming new products

Maybe it's his resemblance to Don Draper that does it (shit isn't that..).

Lattice probably want me to say something about measuring the size of your fingers  but for me it boiled down to how much I expected to pick up.

<flex>if I’d got the larger edge I probably don’t own enough weight to get to a max lift</flex> so I got the MXS.
